Dog Grooming Free Introductory Offer
New Puppy Introduction Scheme,
We are all dog lovers here at K9 Beauty and it's important to start building routines as soon as possible with your new arrival. Depending on the breed of your new puppy will depend on the frequency that it will need to visit a grooming salon to be groomed.
Because we understand the fears and concerns that your puppy will face when he or she comes for the first time we are offering all new puppies two free visits to our salon. This will familiarise them with our surroundings and they can take in all the different smells and noises associated with a grooming salon.
As soon as your new puppy has been vaccinated please give us call and make an appointment for the first of your two free introductory visits. The first visit will last approximately 10 minutes where your puppy will be taken into the salon and allowed to become familiar with the surroundings and the various equipment. Your puppy will be placed on the grooming table which we will raise and lower so that they become aware of the table and its purpose. They will also be placed inside the bath (without water) so that they will not be fazed by it at all. During this visit they will be constantly reassured and spoken to so they remain calm and happy to be with us.
Then just before you leave after the first visit we will book you in again for around three or four weeks later.
On the second appointment which will last approximately 20 minutes the routine will be repeated again but for a longer period, brushes will also be introduced to your puppy whilst on the grooming table so they can smell and look at them. After they have had a good look at them we will give them a light grooming so they can feel them passing through their coat and enjoy the feeling that grooming gives. We will also start picking up their paws and having a close look at them so that they will be happy for someone to do this in the future. Paws can be ticklish so this introduces a bit of fun element into the grooming session, but it will soon become apparent if your puppy has ticklish paws and we will then know how to handle your puppy when it comes to the time they need their nails clipped.
